Dubai Diaries 5 – Food and Atlantis

As we were jetlagged and lazy, I and Amit decided to just roam in the car with Arvind. I am still in euphoria about my first international trip! yay! Everything is looking foreign & amazing and I don’t want to waste a single second, just want to see as much as I can in these few days.

Dubai

Dubai is BEAUTIFUL! The roads are very clean, everything is so well maintained, even the trees beside the road are trimmed so beautifully! Everything is so enchanting and attracts me to explore. The fact that Petrol is cheaper than water should be a good enough reason for people to stay outside all day.

Dubai

As I came here at the beginning of February, the weather is not too cold not too hot. It’s PERFECT! While watching everything from the car, we stopped from time to time to just take the feel of everything.

So, first, to satiate our belly, with the guidance of Arvind we went to a food shop named “Paratha King” in Al Khaleej Center, Bur Dubai. They provide various kinds of parathas, some of which I never heard of and their taste was extraordinary. I am going to miss this paratha place in India, they are truly KINGS of paratha making. We ordered Plain Sprout Paratha (AED 15)and Alu with Pudina Paratha (AED 13). The size of the parathas was huge and they were served with 2-3 fried chillis and curry/curd. Both of them were tasty as well as healthy.

When we ordered the food they gave us a small circle-shaped disc, I was confused about its purpose so Arvind explained it would vibrate when our order was ready. Wow!

Amit ordered a burger + fries + coke and some wrap. As I couldn’t eat both parathas myself, I shared it with Amit and Arvind.

Dubai

While going by car, Amit’s good friend infected with our enthusiasm decided to take us to drive through The Palm Jumeirah Road and we saw lots of beautiful and big buildings. We also passed Atlantis – The Palm a 5-star luxurious hotel when we were driving and it looked beautiful from the outside. Arvind was telling us that Atlantis is very famous due to their great rooms and it has WALL-SIZED AQUARIUM IN ROOMS! WOW! As we were already tired, we decided to skip going inside but if you have lots of money and like fine things in life, then this place is worth trying.

Dubai

While we were driving on the road we saw people doing paragliding, it was looking scary. Amit was very excited to see it and wanted to try it.
